Thank you to everyone who sent in testimony and/or came in person to testify on this important legislation. We received over 40 written statements and 10 oral testimonies supporting the Bill to have equal number of Council meetings in West Hawai'i.
The Bill passed with a 2/3 majority.
Pilago, Hoffmann, Isbell, Safarik, and Jacobson voted YES Holschuh and Higa voted KANALUA which counted as YES Ikeda and Arakaki voted NO
There will be 3 more readings on this Bill and it needs a 2/3 majority to pass. It will then go on the ballot in November for the voters to decide.
We will keep you informed of the meeting dates and encourage you to come out and testify when possible.
