Story:Two counties A declarative proposal
Today we have lost our right to fair and just representation. We, thecitizens of West Hawaii, must pursue our just cause, as Jefferson, Adams,Franklin, Sherman, Livingston and the colonists of 1776. Oppressive andtyrannical acts led to the American Declaration of Independence. The finalact of tyranny for West Hawaii was the demotion and humiliation of ourelected representatives on the County Council. Therefore, paraphrasing thegreat writers of the American Revolution:
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for the people ofWest Hawaii to dissolve the political bands which have connected us withEast Hawaii, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate andequal station to which the laws of Nature and nature's God entitle them, adecent respect to the opinions of West Hawaiians requires that they shoulddeclare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Sen. Josh Green responds

Subject: Sen. Green's statement on 6/22/09

"Unfortunately, it appears that the East Hawaii Council members and Mayor>> Kenoi have illegally conspired to break the sunshine laws that ensure the>> honesty and fairness of county government and secretly agreed to silence>> and strip West Hawaii council members of any influence on the spending of>> hundreds of millions of dollars in county tax revenues and federal>> stimulus money.>>>> I am as outraged over these unethical and illegal actions as everyone >> else>> in West Hawaii, and if my constituents want me to explore the possibility>> of forming a new county, I will.">>>> Josh Green M.D.>> State Senate>> District 3, West Hawaii

Now is the time for 2 Counties in Hawaii

Aloha Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thank you for your over whelming calls or should I say cries for your own West Hawaii County. My phone has been ringing off of the hook. I have been in touch with Senator Josh Green and he said he will bring this to the legislature, but we need your help.
The only way for the legislature to consider it is with thousands of letters to our elected officials. We need to ask everyone from every island to send letters asking for their own County.
You can write one letter and send it to each of these people. Ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers, Church, school, and anyone else you know.

We do have hundreds of bumper stickers that say:
“Citizen of West Hawaii County”
We are planning on having a meeting the end of July. If you want to be added to the list of contacts please respond back to me at: westhawaiicounty@gmail.com

Thank again for your support. I am willing to keep trying if the public is willing to step up to the plate and participate. This is your chance to make a real difference.
Respectfully,
Susan McGeachy
