Let's Learn from the Earth Quake. Now is the Time to Prepare.

There are lessons we can learn from this horrible Quake. Being ready for an Emergency is easy!
Being on an Island and 100% dependant on a ship/air bringing us food/water can be a matter of life and death. The volcano we live on may not want to stay put forever.

HOME SURVIVAL KIT CHECKLIST:
Portable radio
extra batteries
flashlight and candles
matches
First Aid Kit
Medications (one to two weeks worth)
5-10 days of nonperishable food supply
Ice chest
containers of water (1 gallon per person per day)
masking tape for windows & doors
propane stove
propane lanterns and light sticks
sleeping bags/ or blankets
personal toilet articles and sanitary needs
change of clothing for each household member
fuel for stove, hibachis or lanterns
extra pet food
tents/ tarps
folding cots
5 gallon bottles of water (enough for 3 days)
cell phone recharger for your car
Always keep at least 1/2 tank of gas in your car
establish an emergency plan/ meeting place for your family
list of emergency contacts: family, doctors, medications and other instructions as needed.
BEING PREPARED IS EASY TO DO. DON'T WAIT FOR A REAL EMERGENCY TO BEGIN GETTING READY.
